How do I redeem my points?  The Stein Club isn’t exactly like the Passport Program in that you don’t actually redeem your points. With the Stein Club, once you get to certain Stein Point tier (see below) you get the reward that is associated with that Stein Points level. Your reward will be sent to your local Gordon Biersch and they will notify you when it has come in and is ready for pick up.

50 Stein Points - Logo'd Deck of Playing Cards
120 Stein Points - Limited Edition Gordon Biersch Messenger Bag
500 Stein Points – Limited Edition Gordon Biersch Cooler
1500 Stein Points - Commemorative Stein
2000 Stein Points - The Hallowed Gordon Biersch Boot

I just signed up for a Stein Club Card. When will I recceive my card?  Once you fill out the application and turn it into your server, it usually takes about 4-6 weeks in order to get your permanent card. If you were previously a Passport member, then continue to use your Passport card until your permanent card arrives in the mail. If you were not previously a Passport member prior to joining the Stein Club, you should have received a temporary Stein Club card to use until your permanent Stein Club membership card arrives. If it has been longer than the 4-6 weeks, give Stein Club Guest Services a call (1-888-266-2045) and we can look into it…just make sure to have your temporary card number handy.

How do I join the Stein Club?  If you are interested in joining the Stein Club, visit your local Gordon Biersch and pick up an application. Please note that the Stein Club is an elite program and some of our locations are at their max capacity for members. While you might not be able to join the club right away, you can put your name on the waiting list. We look forward to having you as a Stein Club member!

Is my $20 Welcome reward stored on my temporary Stein Club Card?  If you weren't a Passport Rewards member prior to enrolling in the Stein Club, you are entitled to a $20 Welcome certificate. Your $20 Welcome certificate actually arrives with your permanent card in the mail. It will be attached to the bottom of your Welcome letter. If you are unable to locate your $20 Welcome certificate, please contact Stein Club Guest Services.

I’ve heard about “Stored Value”. What is that?  Stored value is the newest feature of the Passport & Stein Club Programs. If you redeem your Passport Points for a Gordon Biersch gift card, you have the option of having the gift card value added to your Stein Club card. With this Instant Reward option, the funds are added instantly to you stein Club card and you don’t have to wait for a gift card in the mail! The Stored Value works exactly like value on a gift card, purchases are deducted from the balance, and you have the option of using the entire amount in one visit or over several visits! If you have any other questions about Stored Value, please contact Stein Club Guest Services.

How do I register my Stein Club card? Do I have to register it in order to get points for my visits?  To start accruing Passport points, your card must first be activated, which is done by your server the day that you purchase your membership card. When your permanent Passport card arrives in the mail, you will be asked to register your card online, but you do not have to register online to continue accruing points. You will need to register it online in order to check your account balance and redeem your points. You can register your Passport card online by visiting our website www.gordonbierschrestaurants.com and then clicking on “Passport Rewards”. If you need assistance registering your card online, please contact Stein Club Guest Services.

I think I signed up for a Passport membership, but I’m not sure. How do I know if I’m a member or not?  We actually offer 2 types of programs.

The first program is our Gordon Biersch Online program, which is free and does not include a membership card or the ability to accrue points for the money that you spend in our restaurants. Gordon Biersch Online is just a way of staying connected with your local Gordon Biersch restaurant. We send out promotional emails and let you know when there are special events coming up in your local Gordon Biersch.

The other program is our Passport Rewards Program. It costs $20 to join, but in return you get a membership card and a $20 gift certificate to Gordon Biersch in the mail. So, essentially it is free,  but there is the inital $20 enrollment fee. You are then able to start collect points for your purchases at the restaurant. You get 1 point for every dollar that you spend while dining. Then after you have collected enough points you can trade those points in for different rewards such as gift card to Gordon Biersch, a night on the town for 2, a weekend getaway, or even a trip for you and a guest to Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany!

If you signed up for the free Gordon Biersch Online program and are interested in joining the Passport Rewards Program, just ask your server for an application. You can start collecting points the very same day. If you feel that you signed up for the Passport Rewards Program and need assistance locating your account number, please contact Stein Club Guest Services.

Can I join the Passport Program through the website?  Although we’ve come pretty far from where we started, we haven’t ventured here yet. For now, members can sign up by completing an application & paying the $20 fee in the restaurant.

I’m a Stein Club member and I have quite a few Stein Points. How do I redeem them?  Stein Points aren’t redeemed like Passport Points. Once you get to a certain prize tier level, corporate will send your reward to the store for pick up. Once the store has received your prize, you will be notified via email that it is available for pick up.
