How do I join the Stein Club? If you are interested in joining the Stein Club, visit your local Gordon Biersch and ask to join. Please note that the Stein Club is an elite program and some of our locations are at their max capacity for members. While you might not be able to join the club right away, you can put your name on the waiting list. We look forward to having you as a Stein Club member!
How do I register my Stein Club card? Do I have to register it in order to get points for my visits? To start accruing points, your card must first be activated which is done by your server on the day that you receive your membership card. You will then need to register it online in order to check your account balance and redeem your points. You can register while you are in the restaurant using a smartphone and QR code – it only takes a minute and you will be registered quickly. You can also register your Stein Club card after you leave by visiting our website (gordonbiersch.com/stein-club/rewards). If you need help registering your card online, please contact Stein Club Guest Services.
How do I accrue points? As a Stein Club member, you get to accrue Passport Points and Stein Points. You earn one Passport Point for every dollar you spend in the restaurant. In addition, you get to accrue one Stein Point for every house beer you purchase in any given calendar year. For each Stein Point you earn, you will be credited with 5 additional Passport Points. Stein Points are subject to expiration and rewards are subject to change.
How do I redeem my Stein Points? The Stein Club isn’t exactly like the Passport Program in that you don’t actually redeem your points. With the Stein Club, once you get to certain Stein Point tier (see below) you get the reward that is associated with that Stein Points level. Your reward will be sent to your local Gordon Biersch and they will notify you when it has come in and is ready for pick up. Although our rewards are subject to change, our current rewards are as follows:
- 50 Stein Points - Gordon Biersch Logo'd Seidel Mug
- 120 Stein Points - Gordon Biersch Logo'd Picnic Blanket
- 500 Stein Points - Gordon Biersch Executive Coaster Set
- 1500 Stein Points - Commemorative Stein
- 2000 Stein Points - The Hallowed Gordon Biersch Boot
For redemption of Passport Points please see gordonbiersch.com/passport-rewards
I’ve heard about "Stored Value". What is that? Stored value is our way of getting you your rewards as quickly as possible. When you redeem your Passport Points online this Instant Reward option adds the funds directly onto your Stein Club card. You don’t have to wait for a reward to arrive in the mail! Purchases will be deducted from the Stored Value balance and you have the option of using the entire amount in one visit or over several visits! Stored Value rewards may be subject to expiration and are not redeemable for cash. If you have any other questions about Stored Value, please see the Club Rules or feel free to contact Stein Club Guest Services.
How do I access my account online? You can access your Stein Club account from the Stein Club page on our website or you can click here. If you have registered your card previously, select the “ click here to access your account” link and enter your login information. If you have not registered your card, select the "Click here to register now!" link. We try to keep all account information current, however there may be some delay in making that data available to you.
