Our Work

Supporting Our Restaurants' Community Involvement

We value local charity partnerships, thus all CraftWorks Foundation funding is given through the relationships our restaurants build with local charities. By leveraging our restaurant resources of people, money, time and hospitality, we successfully raise hundreds of thousands of dollars and donate thousands of volunteer hours to worthy causes, each year.

Hunger

The Craftworks Foundation is committed to fighting hunger at both local and national levels. We do so by:Increasing our partnerships with local food banks and non-profits that are committed to addressing this social issue
Hosting holiday events for local homeless and displaced in our restaurants
Educating ourselves and others and
Enhancing our Community Relations

H.O.P.E.

We believe that charity begins at home. That means caring for own team members in times of crisis through our H.O.P.E. Fund. Creating a "caring for each other" culture by being a resource for our team member for financial and other support services in times of crisis is of paramount importance.
Culture of Giving and Volunteerism (C.A.R.E. logo)
We support team members who volunteer for their favorite 501(c) 3 charities by giving a $500 grant to that partnering charity. Every year, thousands of hours and dollars in grants are given to local non-profits that our team members are passionate about supporting.
CraftWorks has a strong presence in both the front range of Colorado and Chattanooga, TN communities. Our commitment to serving these communities, in particular, is demonstrated through the following fundraising events.
Southern Brewers Festival (include current page w/ video)
The one-day beer festival hosts 12,000 attendees and is held each August, in downtown Chattanooga. The festival features over 75 craft-brewed premium ales and lagers, a variety of food vendors and a stage boasting Grammy Award Winning musical acts. Over $700,000 has been fundraised and donated to Chattanooga's Kids on the Block.
Springs Beer Fest, in memory of Josh Osterhoudt (include photos)
The one day beer festival in downtown Colorado Springs, features 40 of the craft brewing industry's favorite
brews, local fare, family friendly activities and live Colorado Springs musical acts. Over 3,000 beer
enthusiasts gather to nosh, sip and celebrate craft beer. Nearly $100,000 has been fundraised by this
festival and donated to local Colorado Springs charities.

Charitable Works from Around the CraftWorks Globe

Giving back to our communities is a core value of CraftWorks. Every CraftWorks restaurant partners with local charities to increase charitable awareness and fundraise through tapping parties, percentage-of-sales days, vendor co-operative promotions, new restaurant openings, employee volunteer matching grants, golf tournaments, gift card programs and more.

The CraftWorks Foundation, a 501c (3), non-profit organization, is the charitable arm of CraftWorks Restaurants and Breweries, Inc., parent company of Rock Bottom Restaurant & Brewery, Old Chicago Restaurants, Gordon Biersch Brewery and Restaurant and multiple Specialty Brands.

The Foundation embodies the spirit of making a difference in the lives of others. It is an integral part of our culture, setting us apart as unique in our industry.

The Foundation is dedicated to:

Combating hunger in the communities in which we live and operate restaurants.

Providing support through our restaurants to organizations and programs that address the social issue of hunger and to support organizations where our restaurant team members volunteer.

Helping our team members in times of crisis through our H.O.P.E. Fund

Inspiring a culture of giving and volunteerism.
