About Gordon Biersch Beer Brewery Restaurants

When the first Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant opened in Palo Alto, California, in 1988, we never thought our garlic fries would be our most popular item on the menu. The distinctive flavor, however, proved irresistible: premium potatoes paired with the most famous garlic in the country- none of that whimpy garlic powder but the best Christopher Ranch garlic, fresh from Gilroy, the garlic capital of the world. We knew instantly that we had a winner.

Fifteen years later, we’ve grown to 18 restaurant locations in the U.S. and Canada and the Gordon Biersch Garlic Fry is still a top seller

Fueled by their popularity at the restaurant, we began selling our Garlic Fries at Candlestick Park in 1994. They quickly became a favorite and these days Garlic Fries are gracing concessions at stadiums, ballparks, resorts and amphitheaters from coast to coast. After much hard work, we’ve developed a fry that tastes as good fresh from your oven as it does in our restaurants so now the original Garlic Fries are easy and convenient to enjoy anytime. They also contain zero grams of trans fat!

We have combined the zesty flavor of our original Garlic Fries with red roasted jalapeño peppers to create an even greater taste sensation. The red roasted pepper garlic fries have been fried in vegetable oil containing zero trans fat making it a “healthier” French fry than those cooked in conventional fry oil.
